Outcome

The Future Delivery Dates feature launched as a polished, user-centered solution. Thanks to continuous feedback, iterative design, and testing, the FDD experience was robust and intuitive, making scheduled ordering a breeze for our users.

As more users adopt the feature, we’re considering enhancements like having the same experience without the modal to keep the viewer on the buy page and an expanded editing experience. Each improvement builds on what we learned about balancing client feedback with user needs.

Improving B2B Orders Scheduling

Problem Statement

B2B & B2C customers needed a way to schedule multiple deliveries in one order. There are existing tools only supported one shipment at a time, leading to errors and manual workarounds.

Process

The Stakeholder insisted that they could not modify the way the cart was set up. I designed a modal-based scheduler that lets users schedule multi-shipment orders and track quantities, all within the existing cart system.

Delivered 30+ annotated screens for desktop/mobile with dev-aligned specs and edge case handling.

Solution

“A huge takeaway from the project for my career is that the Future Delivery date Feature highlighted the importance of collaborative design. Working closely with clients, aligning with development on feasibility, and focusing on user needs helped us turn a complex feature into an intuitive experience.”
